SA Wine Turns 366 🎂


South Africa is one of the most significant wine-producing countries in the world, and we happen to know the exact date of our wine industry’s inception: 2 February 1659. This makes 2025 SA wine’s 366th birthday, so there is a celebration definitely in store. Cape Town’s renowned luxury resort brand, One&Only, has brought together a collection of 22 wine farms across the province to participate in this event.
Between January 31st and February 1st, ROOI restaurant will host an exclusive wine-tasting collection. On February 2nd, there will be a Wine Birthday evening, which will be the peak of festivity! This luxury Cape Town wine festival features live music and delicious wine pairings, from oysters to canapes to lamb on the spit!

Stellenbosch Street Soiree 🍃

Stellenosch Street Soirees is a popular wine festival held during summer. It features food, wine, and live music under beautiful oak trees. The Soiree season brings great vibes and mouthwatering eats on designated dates from October to March. You can experience the tail end of the season with five more dates planned before winter!
The ticket cost includes your branded Stellenbosch wine glass and 10 wine tokens. Each token gives you one wine tasting, premium wines included, and more tokens are available to purchase at the event. The food stalls are curated to pair with any wine choice immaculately. If you love wine, good times and a convenient event, Stellenosch’s Street Soirees are the way to go!

Benguela Cove’s Harvest Festival 🌴


Benguela Cove is a low-yield wine estate between Hermanus and Cape Town, known for producing premium wines. Its annual Harvest Festival celebrates the grape harvest season. This family-friendly event features ocean-side vineyard vibes with this family-friendly event that includes live country music, a delicious roast, and fantastic wine choices.
You can participate in interactive sessions with Benguela Cove’s winemakers. Learn about their wine-making processes and the estate’s sustainability objectives. This festival is a lovely outing for your itinerary if you’re in Cape Town or Hermanus! There are also kid-friendly activities and a play area available.

Cape Town Fresh 🌻

Over the last 14 years, the Cape Town Fresh Wine & Food Festival has become one of the most prestigious outdoor wine events. It was previously known as the Constantia Fresh! Over 45 exhibitors showcase the best wines from the Cape Winelands. Additionally, six of South Africa’s top chefs provide delicious bites and meals alongside wine tastings.
If you’re not a wine lover, the festival offers gin and local craft beer throughout the day. There is, of course, live music from Cape Town’s local musicians. The event is hosted at the Cape Point Vineyards and features around 150 wines for you to sip and savour. The emphasis is on ‘fresh!’ with the freshest ingredients, ideas and experiences.

Franschhoek Bastille Festival 🎺


Franschhoek is South Africa’s Culinary Capital located in the Cape Winelands and celebrates its centuries-old French Huguenot heritage with its annual Bastille Festival. Everyone in this small town participates in the event, so guest houses, hotels and restaurants offer great deals and Bastille packages. This festival exhibits the best of Franschhoek, from its award-winning wines to its esteemed chefs.
The event’s focal point is the Bastille Food and Wine Marquee, with its vibrant stalls offering dishes such as oysters, sushi, local cheeses, and wine to pair!
